2nd Haircut

Before the haircut

Noah's new haircut

Noah got his second haircut this past weekend. After weeks of watching his rooster tail grow, we decided it was time for another haircut. Our friend, Georgia, did a wonderful job again. This time Noah got to go to the salon and wear a cape. He did not do any crying, however, he moved around a lot more this time.

Let ME do it!

New developments....

Noah likes to hold HIS own bottle. Sometimes he will be lazy and let us hold it, but he is more interested in feeding himself. I can barely hold him and make his bottle without him grabbing it out of my hand and putting it in his mouth.
He likes to drink water from our cups. A few days ago he was sitting on my lap and I had a big cup of water in my hand. He was watching every move I made, and then he just grabbed at it. So, I gave him a sip and he did great. Now we cannot have bottled water or a cup of water near him without him reaching for it. I think we may have to move towards the sippy cup sooner than expected.
And, the cereal...well, we moved on to Oatmeal. He is crazy about it. And, he loves prune juice mixed in it. Who would have thought. He must be taking after his mother, because if not, he would not be willing to eat it! He gets very upset if you stop the feeding before he decides that he is done.

Happy 5 Months

Dear Noah,
Today you are 5 months old, I can hardly believe it. Last night I got up for your 3am feeding to find you playing with your Ocean Wonders Aquarium that you somehow turned on, while you held your feet. So talented. As you lay there in my arms stretched out past your boppy pillow enjoying your bottle, I reminise of your first few days of life. A tiny helpless and dependent little one, so the opposite of the independent boy you have become. As you reach for your own bottle, I just pray that you will let me hold it a little longer.
I so enjoy your laugh as I tickle you and your scream of delight as you discover new things. You are growing so quickly, already doubling your birth weight and outgrowing your wardrobe. It is so hard to pack your clothes away knowing that you will never return to this size.
Today your dad and I gave you your first taste of rice cereal. It was surreal to watch you eat from a spoon. I don't think you minded the freedom and taste. You were, however, a bit shocked at having to swallow the cereal. We have so many cute pictures to tease you with. You are such a big boy.
I have so enjoyed these past five months with you. You have inspired me and made me enjoy life so much more. I can't wait to see what you are going to do in the next 5 months.

Love,
Mom

My Daily Highlights

Each day Noah does something that just makes me laugh. He is so full of life and energy. I just keep looking at him and praising God for such a wonderful blessing to our family. Here are a couple of videos of him in action as well as an upadated photo.

Nature's Beauty

I know pictures don't do justice, but here are a couple of shots we got recently. The top picture shows a rain line that ran right behind our house. It was so neat to watch it. The contrast in the sky was amazing. I am always in awe of the beautiful pictures that nature provides for us.

Family day at Big Spring Park

Last weekend we took Noah downtown to Big Spring Park. He loved rolling around on the ground and playing with mom and dad. Dad took Noah's shoes off and put his feet in the duck pond, and Noah's response was a very loud scream! Obviously he didn't care for it.

Playdates

Noah had a playdate with his friends Jack and Penny today. We went to the Botanical Gardens. Even though it was HOT we had lots of fun looking at all the big bugs and butterflys. As you can see we had a variety of reactions from the little ones at the end of the day.
