Since my mom has been here for the past week she has been so wonderful in helping us accomplish our to do list before baby gets here. So, we have painted and redecorated our master bathroom, created and painted Noah's playroom and installed closet organizers in the playroom and the kid's room. Whew! I am so grateful for all of my family's help!!

Noah's 2nd Birthday-Family Party

Since Nana was in town for Noah's birthday we decided to have a family pizza party to celebrate Noah's 2nd birthday. Surrounded by our family and adopted family (Nana, uncle christian, Auntie Erin, Ryan, and Ron and Sandra) it was the best time ever! I made Noah his tractor cake that he requested and we just enjoyed pizza, cake and presents. Noah made out very well- he got fun stuff to color with, cars, sit-n-spin, videos, a new bike, a blazer jersey and his first pair of jordans! He also decided that Ron's new name is Santa Ron! He thought it was really funny to call him that. Noah did a great job blowing his candles out and actually requested that we relight them. Thank you to everyone!

4 Month Belly Shot (15 weeks)

So here it is, the very first belly shot for our little mysterious baby. I am really surprised at both how fast I am showing this time (I know, it's cause it's my second) and how easy this pregnancy is coming along. Just as with Noah, at 14 weeks the sickness started to go away. I am also starting to regain my energy back, though the 5am workouts don't always help! I am really excited that I am finally in my second trimester and can start enjoying it more!

Happy 2nd Birthday Noah

Yesterday we celebrated Noah's 2nd birthday. It is hard to believe that it has been two years since we brought him home from the hospital. He has grown into such a big boy! He was pretty excited about it being his birthday. He would tell us that he was "two" and that he wanted to open presents. The kicker is that he thinks santa brings him his birthday presents! To celebrate Noah's birthday, we made tacos and then topped it off with cookies. Noah had the GIANT sugar cookie which he was very excited about. He barely got the candles blown out before he went after the cookies. After the cookie eating Noah got to open his presents. He was excited that he got his John Deere Tractor that he had asked for. He also got a year pass to the kids museum from Gama and Gampa. He will have many fun days ahead there! We are also planning on doing another family celebration in a week when Nana gets here, so he will have the fun of celebrating his birthday twice! Happy Birthday my big boy!

Boys will be boys

Funny how kids always have the most fun with the packaging of products. Noah decided that the plastic bag that our comforter came in would be a great toy to play with. He likes to ride in it as well as pull his animals in it. This time I found Dave carrying Noah around the house in it. Looks like they are having fun!

We had lots more snow this round! This is the most snow I have seen in Alabama in the 5 years we have been here. I am so glad that Noah is old enough to enjoy it! Everyone had the day off from work due to the weather so we had some fun watching movies and playing in the snow.

Announcing Baby #2

We are so excited to announce that Noah is going to be a big brother! The due date for baby #2 is July 8, 2011. Since we have decided that this will be our last baby, we thought we would have some fun with it. So, we have decided not to find out the sex. Yes, it will be very hard for me as I am a compulsive planner. But, I think the reward of hearing what we were blessed with after labor will be so worth it.
I found out early on that I was pregnant and decided to surprise Dave. I went to the store and got a shirt that said "big brother" on it. Just as Dave was coming home from work I put it on Noah. It took Dave a few seconds to notice the shirt. Then, he asked where I got it, thinking it may have been a shirt that was handed down. As you can guess he was pleasantly surprised when I told him that it was purchased that afternoon. He is going to be a daddy...again!
We also had fun telling our families about the baby. Since I found out at about 3 weeks we had to keep it hush hush until week 12. We took the ultrasound pictures and had it framed and mailed off to our parents as Christmas gifts. Christmas morning we skyped with our families as we all opened gifts and were finally able to share the news. It was so much fun to see the surprise on their faces!
