Ta-Da
Noah and I were playing yesterday when he decided to go into my room and shut the door so I couldn't come in. (A fun little game we like to play) As I was knocking at the door (he usually knocks back) it magically opened and I heard "Ta-Da!" Noah opened the door all by himself! The funny part was once we both realized it, he then began to open and close the door for the next 20 minutes. I guess we are going to start moving on to the next phase of baby proofing!
Noah's new table
This is Noah's picnic table built with Daddy's fine craftsmanship. We had some wood left over from the pergola that we built a couple of years ago, so one afternoon Dave decided to build this. Noah has been into coloring, so this is a great place for him to do that.

Chatter Walk
For Noah's birthday he got the chatter phone, which he has enjoyed "chatting" with. However yesterday, he figured out that he can pull it around. I think he likes to watch the eyes move when he drags it! Here is a clip of him with his phone:

Wall Ball
Noah figured out that he can throw the ball against the wall and it will come back to him. The ultimate playmate!
Family Day
Today was such a beautiful day, so we decided to get out and enjoy the sun. We took Noah to the Toney Fire station this morning where he got to see the fire trucks. He was very fascinated with the "tires" of the truck. It was cute.
Then, we took Noah to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. It was such a pleasure to watch him explore the flowers and plants. Noah also got to play in the kids garden where there are water rocks and a mist garden. It was fun to watch him laugh and play as he tried to hold the water back from coming out of the rock.

Alligator Adventure, SC
One of the coolest places I have ever gone is Alligator Adventure. Growing up my brother and I were always fascinated by alligators. So, in this adventure, I got to see many alligators! (I am sure my brother is jealous of this trip!) There were paths that were caged in that you walked over swamps of swimming gators as well as exhibits where we could view the alligators being fed. We also got to see an alligator that was 2000 pounds (it was HUGE!) and a group of albino alligators, which are rare. It was just what they claimed...a great adventure!

Look Ma, Suds!
Yesterday afternoon Noah was being my big helper around the house. He managed to make it to our bathroom and pick up his very large bottle of Baby Magic soap. This would not usually be a problem, however, as of today he has figured out how to open screw tops. So..I bet you know where I am going with this. In .003 seconds, I look over and he has poured the bottle of Baby Magic all over our carpet and is rubbing it into the carpet and his clothes. YIKES! My big boy was very proud of himself. He looked at me with a big smile on his face and said, "mummy!" Needless to say, soap is not easy to remove from carpet. The more I scrubbed the more foam we got! Noah seemed to enjoy the process though.

Myrtle Beach, SC
We spent a wonderful week in South Carolina with The Parker/Gates family. Noah got to play lots with his cousins and grandparents. The weather was most perfect and the water was warm. We spent most of the days playing in the sand.
Dave and I had some great walks on the beach where we found some sharks teeth and really neat shells. One evening we saw dolphins swimming in the ocean which was fun to watch.
We also went to a place called Alligator Alley, which was full of all kinds of alligators. It was really cool! We just had to watch Noah closely so that he didn't become a snack!
The beach was a hit for Noah, he quickly learned that word. When we took him inside the beach house, he would point to the window and say "beach" and cry. In his world, there was no time for eating or sleeping, just playing in the sand and water!
During this trip Noah mastered his walking skills and quickly learned how to climb two flights of stairs! Towards the end of the trip Noah and his cousin Lauren were also climbing up on furniture. It was odd for me to turn around and see Noah rocking in the chairs on the deck when I had not placed him there. All in all, I would say that with great company and some ocean air, there were a lot of strides made. We hope to get to visit SC again soon, what a beautiful place to visit!
