From the mouth of babes
One of Noah's favorite things to do is go shopping. I suppose it is because of all the new things that he gets to see. This particular afternoon while Dave and I were shopping at Kohl's, Noah decided to tell us all about what he liked in the store. So, as we are walking through the the store he would (very loudly) say "awe, cute flip flops mommy!" and then run to the next item and say "awe, cute shorts!". He was attracting stares and giggles from people around, including us during this production. Until the moment he stops right in front of the bra section and proceeds to run to the bras saying "awe, boobies!!". Imagine the five shades of red each of us turned as we quickly guided him to the sock section. Right out of the mouth of babes...you just never know what they will say!

Yucky Banana
Kids say the funniest things....
Noah asked for a banana the other day for snack. As usual, I peeled the banana and gave it to him. I didn't even notice the two small bruises on it. A few minutes later he brought the uneaten banana back to me and said "Mama, I don't want banana!" I then asked him why and he said "It has poop on it." I cannot even begin to imagine where he would have gotten the idea to put those two together! Unfortunately, from that point on, he always inspects his bananas and will not consume one that is "yucky" and has "poop on it". Ha!

Noah's 2nd Birthday-Family Party
Since Nana was in town for Noah's birthday we decided to have a family pizza party to celebrate Noah's 2nd birthday. Surrounded by our family and adopted family (Nana, uncle christian, Auntie Erin, Ryan, and Ron and Sandra) it was the best time ever! I made Noah his tractor cake that he requested and we just enjoyed pizza, cake and presents. Noah made out very well- he got fun stuff to color with, cars, sit-n-spin, videos, a new bike, a blazer jersey and his first pair of jordans! He also decided that Ron's new name is Santa Ron! He thought it was really funny to call him that. Noah did a great job blowing his candles out and actually requested that we relight them. Thank you to everyone!

Happy 2nd Birthday Noah
Yesterday we celebrated Noah's 2nd birthday. It is hard to believe that it has been two years since we brought him home from the hospital. He has grown into such a big boy! He was pretty excited about it being his birthday. He would tell us that he was "two" and that he wanted to open presents. The kicker is that he thinks santa brings him his birthday presents! To celebrate Noah's birthday, we made tacos and then topped it off with cookies. Noah had the GIANT sugar cookie which he was very excited about. He barely got the candles blown out before he went after the cookies. After the cookie eating Noah got to open his presents. He was excited that he got his John Deere Tractor that he had asked for. He also got a year pass to the kids museum from Gama and Gampa. He will have many fun days ahead there! We are also planning on doing another family celebration in a week when Nana gets here, so he will have the fun of celebrating his birthday twice! Happy Birthday my big boy!
