Mothers Heart
I loved you from the very start,You stole my breath, embraced my heart.
Our life together has just begun,You're part of me my little one.
As mother with child, each day I grew, My mind was filled with thoughts of you.
I'd daydream of the things we'd share,Like late-night bottles and Teddy bears.
Like first steps and skinned knees,Like bedtime stories and ABC's.
I thought of things you'd want to know,Like how birds fly and flowers grow.
I thought of lessons I'd need to share,Like standing tall and playing fair.
When I first saw your precious face,I prayed your life be touched with grace.
I thanked the angels from above, And promised you unending love.
Each night I lay you down to sleep,I gently kiss your head and cheek.
I count your little fingers and toes;I memorize your eyes and nose.
I linger at your nursery door, Awed each day I love you more.
Through misty eyes, I dim the light,I whisper, "I love you" every night.
I loved you from the very start,You stole my breath, embraced my heart.
As mother and child our journeys begin, My heart's yours forever little one.

Four months already?!
Yesterday Noah turned 4 months old. I just can't believe how time is just flying by. I keep trying to make as many memories as I can, but I fear my brain won't hold them all. I guess it is true what they say, having a child makes your time just disappear. Noah has grown by leaps and bounds. No longer does he have the " new baby" look, but the look of a little boy. He talks, squeals and smiles all the time. It just melts his mama's heart!

Noah reading to Dad before bed
Before we put Noah to bed we read him a book called, "I love you through and through". It is so cute! This particular time he decided to help Dave read it.

A thumb sucker for sure
Noah has officially found his friend, the thumb. He started out chomping on his fists at first and then one day I noticed he was sucking his thumb. Three days later...still sucking that darn thumb. I am hoping he won't be an avid thumb sucker as they can be hard to stop. Here is a picture on the little monster in action.
Mr. Turtle
Yesterday we noticed that we had a turtle walking through our front yard towards our door step. He walked across Jeff Rd (those of you who don't know this road, it is really busy, how he didn't get ran over is a wonder!) and through our front yard. He was moving pretty fast too. Once he got to the front he just hung out for a while. We couldn't believe how big he was!

Grocery Savy
For those of you on a budget...
I have been searching for ways to cut our grocery bill down, which seems to always be our big expense. I found this website that is really cool. What you do is enter the kinds of food you buy and what stores you shop at, and it pulls all the sales and ads for these products and organizes them for you. This way you can create your shopping list off of what is on sale. If you haven't seen this site, check it out:
www.MyGroceryDeals.com
I am always looking for other ideas, so if you have some, please send them my way.
Happy shopping!

A great receipe
Dave's mom gave me a great receipe for salmon. We usually don't eat seafood in our house, but we are trying to branch out. This was so yummy, you have to try it! Here's the receipe:
Brown Sugar Glazed Salmon
Prep: 15 min
Bake : 20 min
Yield: 8 servings
1 TBSP brown sugar
2 tsp butter
1 tsp honey
1 TBSP olive oil
1 TBSP dijon mustard
1 TBSP soy sauce
1/2 to 3/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 salmon fillet (2-2.5lbs)
In a small saucepan over medium heat, cook and stir the brown sugar, butter and honey until melted. Remove from heat; whisk in the oil, mustard, soy sauce, salt and pepper. Cool 5 min.
Place salmon in a large foil-lined pan; brush with brown sugar mixture. Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20-25 min or until fish flakes with fork.
*I bbq ours and it was great too!
If you try this receipe, please leave a comment and let me know what you thought!

Noah rolls over for the first time!
This morning around 9:30am Noah was having his usual tummy time. Each day he has been getting closer and closer to rolling over, however usually it happens from back to front. This morning he was really focused on his mission. He kept drawing his bottom up in the air and trying to push over. I had a feeling that this might be it, so I ran to get the video camera and just as I pushed the record button, he rolled over. (How cool to capture the first on tape!) He seemed so delighted after he had accomplished his mission of rolling over! Yay for you Noah!!!!
